STRUCTURE FOR HIS MINISTRY
Jesus began planning his public ministry and giving structure to his followership.
MARK 37-12
The Sick Pushing Through ..
Jesus’ ministry is constantly now a healing crusade; without billboards, Invitation, fliers, or television ads. Many “from Judah, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon crowd in on him” v.8.
LET ME TOUCH HIM
MARK 310-12, LUKE 617-19.
As the crowd gathered, the sick want to touch him pushing through to get forward.
Jesus asked his disciples to get ready a boat from which he could relate with the people (Mk 311).
DO IMPURE SPIRIT PROMOTE YOUR CHURCH / YOUR PASTOR? Unclean
Spirits try to promote Jesus but he refused. “He gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.” (v.12).

Then Jesus said the beatitudes (Read the beatitudes from Matt 5:2-12, Lk 6:20-23), and woes from Lk 6:24-26, which I believe are for those whose works are against the righteous.

JESUS’ PARABLES AND ANALOGY FOR THE RIGHTEOUS;
- The righteous as the Salt of the earth
- The Light of the world
- A town built on a hill –
In the light of these, we must therefore do all we can to ensure the effectiveness of the essence of the Christian faith – Good works that bring glory to the Father (v.16).
- v.17-20 – Jesus honors the Laws and the Prophets. “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” (v.17).
- KNOW YOUR DON’T as a believer –
- Do not murder / get uncontrollably angry. Control your emotions.
- Never belittle anybody/call them names/shaming – never say RACA (thou fool) v.22
- You can’t give an acceptable offering while you begrudge.
- Resolve matters avoid the courts (v.25-26).
MATTHEW 527-48, LUKE 627-36 - Jesus’ sermon continues
- v.27-30 – The severity of the sin of LUST explained – it is as adultery.
- v.31-32 – Jesus disapproves of men frivolously divorcing their wives.
- v.33-37 – Do not swear whatever the case maybe - do not swear by anything. Answer clearly, Yes or NO. “But let your communication be Yea, Yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than this cometh of evil” (Matt 537).
- 38-41 – Avoid revenge, ensure peace even at your disadvantage.
- 42 – Be kind and generous. “Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.”, “Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.” Lk 630.
- v.43-48, Lk 632-36 – Love everybody even your enemies, and pray for them. Observe and emulate GOD – The sun and the rain is on the righteous and unrighteous. “Be perfect, therefore as your heavenly Father is perfect.” v.48.

MATTHEW 61-4.
Give with simplicity. Avoid been showy.
NIGHT:
Luke 631, Is a silent spiritual law. Ponder and repent of anyways you have consciously or unconsciously been mean to another. Let the blood of Jesus be sufficient for you in Christ's name - amen.
Now that you have been forgiven your sins, henceforth; “Do to others what you will have them do to you” Lk 631
